We had w wonderful year of book sales and it is all thanks to our amazing volunteers and customers. We raised over $13,000 for our county libraries this year!! That is a spectacular number. Keep up the great work! We look forward to the same kind of success in 2018!

We are excited to announce that Ms. Joshilyn Jackson will be our guest speaker at our annual meeting on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00pm!! This is one that you will not want to miss!! Joshilyn is a best selling New York Times author. She has written many books including "Between, Georgia" and her latest book is "The Almost Sisters." You can reach her website at http://www.joshilynjackson.com/jj/. There are many of her books available in our library system and we will have books for sale at the meeting. Arrive early to get your copy. Joshilyn will be signing books during the break.
NEW GRANTS RECEIVED
We are pleased to announce we recently received a grant from the Cobb EMC Community Foundation to help our Cherokee County Libraries expand their STEM programming for children of all ages. This will help provide robotic kits and other tools to assist children to explore and continue their STEM education through the libraries. Also, we are pleased to announce the recent receipt of a “Round-Up” grant from the Amicalola EMC Foundation & Sawnee EMC Foundation to help our Cherokee County Libraries develop and circulate self-help devices for people with visual impairments. It is the desire of the Libraries to be viewed as a resource for those with disabilities.
