Who We Are The Friends of the Cherokee County Public Libraries are a dedicated group of volunteers and advocates who believe that strong libraries create strong communities. Officially incorporated on June 30, 1987, we have proudly worked to raise funds, promote literacy, and organize events, supporting our library branches and making them vibrant hubs of learning and connection for everyone.
How We Help
We Support We raise and contribute funds for books, materials, and library programs—ensuring every branch has the resources they need to thrive.
We Volunteer Our members volunteer at special events, collaborative community projects, and reading programs for children and adults, helping the library reach more people.
We Promote We spread the word about library services, literacy programs, and lifelong learning—inspiring more neighbors to discover and use our great local libraries.
We Advocate We work hand-in-hand with library staff and administration, striving to keep our libraries up-to-date, accessible, and welcoming for all.
Why It Matters Libraries are cornerstones of our community—offering education, entertainment, and essential services to patrons of all ages. By supporting the Friends, you help sustain free access to knowledge and empower residents to learn, grow, and connect.
